Fashion Future Graduate Showcase

The 2017 Fashion Future Graduate Showcase was the latest initiative launched by the CFDA and NYCEDC generated to connect exemplary graduating design talent to industry opportunities. The curated Made in NY expo featured 60 graduate collections of all specializations including apparel, materiality, accessories and interests ranging from sustainability and creative technical design to innovation from design schools such as Parsons School of Design, Pratt Institute, FIT and Rhode Island School of Design.

The Gathery was responsible for the development and design of a new initiative finding inspiration in the New York’s recognizable grid system and the complex interlocking cut patterns that come together to create extraordinary garments. As a result, our sets were developed to seemingly connect – a reference to the tight-knit community of designer, manufacturers, and textile producers in New York – generating an innovative exhibition environment that highlighted the work of each of our participants.
