W Bellevue Grand Opening

Situated between Lake Washington and the Cascade Mountains, W Bellevue is the first North American new development for W Hotels in seven years.  On the fringe of wilderness while remaining just a throws away from bustling downtown Seattle, the property design was inspired by the history of the lakeside escape and the new technology companies transforming the neighborhood into a modern destination. Driven by this narrative, The Gathery developed and produced a vibrant grand opening that combined references derived from camping and logging traditions with contemporary and technological materials to introduce visitors to the world of W Bellevue.

Treated in the unmistakable W Hotel’s lens, the evening was filled with curated cabaret performances - from vogue dancers styled in high fashion interpretations of local fauna to hand-painted acrobats inspired by one of the property’s art murals - entertaining guests every half hour. Food and beverage was cleverly designed to reference camp staples interpreted in luxurious bit-sized renditions while cabin-like custom infinity mirrors provided guests with the perfect photo opportunity. The evening culminated with a special performance by pop sensation Betty Who held in the video mapped great hall.
