Following the success of Renaissance Hotels’ theatrical design reveal in New York, The Gathery conceptualized and developed an event with the pointed objective of educating select West Coast media on Renaissance Hotels’ evolved and refreshed brand mission.

The experience showcased the hotel’s renewed design strategy by taking over a unique and unexpected Downton Los Angeles venue that played into the brand’s theatrical design philosophy and “Discover This Way” lifestyle proposition. A dramatic arrival experience awaited guests at the impressive Broadway movie house featuring immersive installations and activations inspired by the Renaissance’s core values. Cocktails and light bites in a refreshing approach, including a reimagined take on their signature Punch Bowl ritual and a DTLA-specific Discovery Table composed of curated goods from local favorites were just a few of the immersive activities enjoyed by guests. The evening concluded with a 15-minute design presentation in a custom setting built within the theatre’s gilded proscenium where brand leaders highlighted the new reinvigorated design approach.
