Comfort Zone

October 2020


In Fall 2020, HBO Max launched The Comfort Zone, a campaign dedicated to bringing excitement and relaxation to its viewers by celebrating titles old and new, from the comfort of their own homes. Created in the form of an “experience delivered,” The Gathery created a charming gift that was sent to members of the press, influencers and HBO Max talent positioning the platform as the one-stop destination for familiar feel-good programming by riffing off the 'mattress in a box' phenomenon.

We took the ultimate symbol of comfort and reinvented the at home screening. Focused on the tactile sense of touch, a digital projector and everything needed to setup were elegantly wrapped into a step-by-step unboxing experience. The gift ensured recipients had everything they needed to stay cozy and comfortable, while treating themselves to a special evening at home. Campaign messaging was amplified via social media, with four curated influencers and recipients generating excitement and interest for the HBO Max platform with over 127.6 million impressions delivered.
