Fall Gala

October 2023

In October of 2023, the Leslie Lohman Museum of Art celebrated their Fall Gala with The Gathery as the featured design partner.  We re-conceived the trappings of an annual gala through a dynamic and queer presentation of food and entertainment in the pursuit of fundraising for the world’s largest queer art collection. 

Positioned against the backdrop of the museum’s fall shows — Dreaming of Home: a Catherine Opie Retrospective and Christian Walker: The Profane and the Poignant — we designed a serpentine table of queer abundance featuring a tactile dining experience curated by chef talent Camille Lindsley and Telly Justice of queer-owned HAGS and Pinch Food Design. The interactive menu offering hung from custom builds to form a libidinal feast. 

The evening’s program served to inspire and galvanize joy for queer futures – and notably featured honoree presentations by queer visionaries including Anohni, Chanel Lopez, Catherine Opie, and performances by Arlo Parks and H Sinno.
