Taste of Gather

Inspired by the annual “Taste of Gather by JW Marriott” culinary experience in Venice Italy, The Gathery produced an intimate sensorial event for Elite Rewards members that brought a taste of the Adriatic city to Central Park South. Held at the iconic New York landmark, Essex House, guests were immediately transported to an Italian piazza from the moment they arrived. A fragrant entrance installation built of fresh produce, plants and herbs was coupled by a troupe of fashionable brand ambassadors who prompted guests to snap their photos as they greeted them in Italian.

The ballroom was transformed into a 360-degree loggia replete with a shop-able mercato where guests savoured a curated menu and products straight from Italy. A live six-piece band serenaded attendees as they enjoyed their Campari cocktails while a mysterious ‘lady in red’ gave out cryptic raffle tickets which had the winner take home a delightful Italian-made bicycle filled with hand-picked goods giving visitors a sample of the many surprises and perks that await them as members of Marriott’s Elite Program.
